Your WhatsApp quality rating and messaging tier
Meta rates your WhatsApp number green, yellow, or red on a rolling 24-hour quality signal. Yellow is a warning; red throttles your messaging tier until quality recovers.
Every WhatsApp Business number has a quality rating (green, yellow, red) and a messaging tier (1k, 10k, 100k, unlimited). The rating is a rolling 24-hour judgement of your messaging quality; the tier is a hard cap on business-initiated conversations per 24 hours.
How to keep green
- Broadcast only to contacts who opted in within the last 6 months.
- Segment so recipients only get content relevant to them.
- Keep block rate under 1% and report rate under 0.1%.
- Always honour STOP/opt-out instantly — our platform does this automatically.
Tiers upgrade automatically once you sustain green status and hit 50% of your current cap for two consecutive days. Going from 1k to unlimited usually takes 3–5 weeks of clean sending.
