Where the header and template ID come from
Your six-character header belongs to your PE; template IDs are 19-digit numbers assigned at approval.
DLT issues two identifiers that every outbound SMS must carry: the header (six characters, owned by your PE) and the template ID (19 digits, unique per approved content).
Where to find them in SMSLocal
- Compliance → Headers — all your approved six-character headers with their categories.
- Compliance → Templates — every template with its 19-digit ID, category, and live status.
- Campaigns → Composer — header and template ID auto-populate when you pick a template.
- API — both are required fields on /v2/sms/send; mismatch returns a 400 with a clear error.
If a template is suspended on the operator side, we show it in amber on the list with the last-known reason so you can take action before your next send.
